.CLUB Is Getting Social In China With Parties and Weibo!

Weibo Club

Greetings from Xiamen, China!  As you may know, the .CLUB team has spent a lot of time in China this year meeting with many registrars and domain investors and launching .CLUB in this fast growing and very important market.  I am writing this post from Xiamen, also known as “Domain Island” because of the many registrars and domain name industry companies that are based here (Xiamen is also known for excellent tea, which I can vouch for personally).  We are here after a few days of meetings in Beijing, where we also co-hosted a “Mid-Autumn Festival” party for nearly 100 Chinese domain Industry guests with our good friends at TLD Registry.  Tonight we are again co-hosting a similar event in Xiamen.  (More about the Mid-Autumn Festival events in a seperate blog post…)

Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival with our partners and friends in China is one of many ways we have been embracing and supporting China as a key market for .CLUB Domain names.   The word CLUB, still spelled C L U B, is widely used, recognized and understood throughout China.  With that in mind, and continuing our localized support, we are very pleased to say we have launched an official and verified .CLUB Weibo page.  Social Media is just as popular in China as it is in the US and it is very exciting to share updates and communicate with our fans and friends in China in Chinese.  To kick off the launch of our Weibo, the .CLUB team prepared a sign saying “Hello, Weibo” to share with our new community in China.
