As you probably know by now, we love Hackathons. They are a great way to introduce .CLUB domains to developers and entrepreneurs who are always coming up with new ideas they will need domain names for.This weekend the .CLUB team had a super time at the TechCrunch Disrupt NY Hackathon, held at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. The 24 hour hackathon had approximately 650 engineers and designers competing for the $5,000 top prize.
We partnered with our friends at Domain.com to offer all the hackathon participants a free .club domain and hosting. From first time participants to regular coders, everyone worked 
throughout the night to build something of meaning to impress fellow coders, judges, and sponsor companies.

.CLUB offered a $5,000 prize for the best use of .CLUB domain within a project. Our winner was Homecookers.club.
Yes, our own .CLUB superhero made a surprise visit to deliver our prize to the winning team of Hackers!
It was a tough choice as there were some very cool .CLUB entries from TheGastro.club to Speaky.club to TheAfterSchool.club to TheHelpingHand.club, to the creativeTrashyRat.club, and many others.
Even the winner of the Hackathon, AlexaSite – a voice activated website builder, used a .CLUB site as the site they build for their winning demo…
